Convolvulus or bindweed is very quick growing and is one of the first weeds to reinvade a new planting site. Many of the herbicides used for the other weeds will give good control. However the thick fleshy roots survive well in the ground and repeated spraying over a year or more is the only way to be sure that it is under control. Establishing a tall, dense canopy is the only way to establish long term control.
